After the Nap

I love the time right after Joah wakes up from his nap.  He will vigorously and loudly call out to me but when I go in to get him he just wants to hang out awhile in his crib - yes he's still in a crib, don't judge - so I sit across from him in the rocking chair and we just chat for a bit.  He plays with his animals, rolls & jumps all over his crib, and just jabbers away.  It is enjoyable for me to watch.  Then after about 10 sometimes 15 minutes  he's done...ready to hit the ground running.  I savor the jibber jabber, the innocent play & the bright after sleep eyes, for all too soon these days will be gone.
