I snapped these pictures yesterday morning and as I was looking at it later the overwhelming sense of responsibility hit me. We are responsible for this little one...how we talk to one another matters, for she is listening. How we love one another matters, for she is watching. How we talk of God and the things of God matters, for even though she is young she is beginning to develop an idea of God. How we shepherd her little heart matters, for she is grasping the idea of authority. I didn't teach her to try on Mommy's shoes, she imitated me. May God give us wisdom to raise little ones who imitate our good, gracious and sovereign Father however difficult and overwhelming the task seems at times.
How many times have I caught Maci Clare trying to put on make up, high heels, brush her hair and put head bands on. It is overwhelming to think of our responsibility. I love the black and white.
