Training in Adoption

Once again I think my husband says it so much better than I could at 1wildernessvoice@blogspot.com but I will try and convey my thoughts about our recent adoption training here. Honestly I was not looking forward to the 2 day training...I thought "we have already done this, why do we have to do this again?!" My thoughts quickly changed when I began to hear the testimonies of other adoptive parents & birth-moms speak.

If I may, here is a brief summary:
1. Everyone's story is unique.
2. God never changes.
3. He was faithful to the adoptive parents, the birth-mom, and adopted person.
4. The unique stories of adoption, however difficult, long & heart wrenching, give an opportunity to testify to God's faithfulness and to display His glory to an unbelieving world.

My conclusion:
1. Our 2nd adoption will be unique
2. God never changes
3. He will be faithful to our family, faithful to the birth-mom, and faithful to our new little one.
4. Our story will give our family an opportunity to testify to God's faithfulness & display His glory to our unbelieving world.

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.
James 1:7
